Summer Internship

We are seeking applicants for a Summer Ministry Intern!

Ministry interns are supervised by a specific minister and work alongside the entire ministry staff. The purpose of the internship is to explore different aspects of ministry and your own sense of calling. Experiences will vary based on your gifts and interests throughout the summer, but can include participating in mission trips, leading Vacation Bible School, counseling at church camp, leading Sunday school programming, administrative tasks and special projects, shadowing ministers in a variety of settings, planning and leading worship services, and more.

When?

The internship will run from May 29 through August 6. You will work 40 hours per week and may take up to one week of vacation (coordinated in advance).

Housing & Transportation

You will receive a stipend of $3000 over the course of the summer. If needed, housing and some meals will be provided by UCC “host families.” Bringing a car is highly recommended, but it may be possible to arrange housing within walking or biking distance of the church if a car is unavailable.

Eligibility:

You must currently be enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited college or university and have completed at least two years of study by summer 2019.

Application Process

Completed applications and reference letters must be submitted by March 16. Phone/Skype interviews will be scheduled and the successful applicant will be notified. You must also ask two adults to complete an online reference form that gives them an opportunity to explain why this internship would be a good experience for you and the church. One reference should be a minister or other church official; the other can be any unrelated adult who knows you well. Direct each reference to complete this form. (the form>>>????)
