Kid Worship

We encourage families to bring their children to worship, especially their elementary age children. To make this experience more meaningful for the children, we offer a worship experience geared for 1st, 2nd & 3rd graders called Worship & Wonder.

During the 11 a.m. worship service (following the hymn after Communion), these children are invited to join an adult leader in the Gallery just to the north of the Sanctuary. Parents drop off their children here and pick them up at the close of worship in the Sanctuary on the lectern side.

We want children to be active participants in worship, but also interact with worship on their own developmental level. Worship & Wonder allows a way for both goals to be met. During this time away from "big church" the children will read the same scripture being read in worship and hear the story of faith on their own level.

Each fall at the beginning of the school year, the First Graders attend a Welcome to Worship class for several weeks during all of the 11 a.m. service. See below for more details about this great transitional experience for the newest elementary children.
