Congregational Care

Big Church. Big Heart.

We show we care through hospital visits, support groups for caregivers and the grieving, prayer groups, health and wellness programs, caring memorial services, meals for new parents, visits to those who are homebound and countless interactions which display God's loving presence and provision. Our ministers are on call to respond to emergencies.

As we seek to offer our best care we ask that you keep us informed of important moments in your life: a move, a marriage, a graduation, a new baby, a change in family status, a career shift or retirement. Please know that this is a confidential contact

Congregational Care Ministry

One of the most rewarding aspects of congregational life in providing care for others. It is a ministry that is rewarding, but can also be challenging in a church our size. In order to do our ministry with excellence, we are embarking on a model of care called Congregational Care Ministry.

This model is a team-based approach that includes both pastors and laypeople (serving as Congregational Care Ministers, or CCMs) working together to support the congregation and community. CCMs are called by God and equipped by the church to care for people, alongside the pastors, to meet the care needs of our church family.  CCMs are specifically trained to serve alongside pastors and staff, making hospital visits, homebound visits, praying, listening, and providing one-on-one comfort and encouragement to our congregation. Congregational Care Ministry is designed to connect the church with people during difficult times.

Hospital & Homebound Ministry

When we’ve been informed about a hospital stay, visits are made by our ministers and hospital care team. Visits are also made to those who are unable to attend regularly due to situation or illness. Our Church Friends and care teams share God's love as they listen, serve communion, deliver flowers, make calls and send notes to those who are homebound. Report a hospitalization or homebound status here.

Memorial Services and Bereavement Hospitality

Memorial services and funerals provide the opportunity to celebrate and remember a loved one as we walk together in this new territory of loss and grief. The Bereavement Hospitality team extends warmth and kindness for family members and guests during funeral services For assistance, contact Pam Reeser.
