We love our kids! AND, we know the reality of being with them in isolation for unknown days at a time is overwhelming.
It’s okay to feel that way as a parent.
You are doing a great job and we are all moving into the unknown and doing the very best we can.
All the rhythms of our days have been altered and we are asked to create new ways of being with our children and our families. Here at UCC Children's Ministries, we are walking this new path with your family.
In an effort to help support the ongoing faithful growth of your family, we will be providing the following:
- Weekly bible stories and lessons for our preschoolers and Discovery Kids. These will be posted on our Children’s Ministry Facebook Page and Instagram.
We will send a text to you with a link when the lessons are available to view.
- We will provide a Zoom meeting and prayer opportunity for parents to join and discuss how things are going in their households, share ideas, and pray together. Date and time TBD
- Take-home faith kits will be available beginning Friday afternoon (3/20) in baskets by the front Reception doors. A quick outing might be a welcomed activity! Load up the kids in the car, drive to the church, pull under the covered drive off of S. University Dr, and send a representative to pick up a bag for your family. Inside, you will find a faith lesson, ideas for conversation and an activity to engage in as a family
- Lastly, join us for worship at 9:00am or 11:00am on Sundays, where we will continue to engage the entire family in online worship; including a weekly moment for children in worship.
We need your help to understand the ways we can help meet your needs during this unprecedented time.
Please reach out to Rev. Kera Watts, Minister of Children and Families with your needs and ways we can continue to be the church at work in your life.
