Like all Christian Church congregations (Disciples of Christ), University Christian Church is independent and self-supporting, governed by its own members. Governance is exercised through the following Leadership Groups:
The Assembly is composed of Assembly Elders, Deacons, Ministry Division Leaders, Stewards, and Student Delegates who have general authority to set policies for the congregation. One of its more specific responsibilities is the approval of the annual operating budget.
The Board of Stewards manages the business and affairs of the congregation.
Administrative Committees are selected by the Board of Stewards and act as extensions of the Board in managing the congregation’s business in the areas of building and grounds, communications, endowment, finance, and personnel.
